The Southern Environmental Law Center is currently accepting applications for associate attorney positions to start in early fall 2022 in Chapel Hill, NC., Atlanta, GA., and Birmingham, AL. offices.
This is an entry-level position open to recent law graduates, attorneys completing clerkships, and practicing attorneys.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an organization that is successfully addressing some of the most important and challenging environmental and public health issues in the Southeast and the nation. Associates gain valuable experience and knowledge working with more senior attorneys on litigation and legal advocacy in state and federal courts and before regulatory agencies. The term for associate positions is two years with the potential for a third year.

The organization works collaboratively with more than 100 national, state, and local groups to enhance their efficacy and achieve common conservation goals. The organization currently has a staff of over 150 individuals, with over 75 attorneys, including some of the nation’s leading experts in their respective fields.
