Court defers to government in building $100M range

A federal court ruled that the Navy can construct a $100 million offshore range for submarine warfare training before completing surveys of critically endangered right whales in the area and despite concerns that subsequent war games would threaten the whales that give birth nearby. More details are reported in The Washington Post by AP, “Judge: Navy can build submarine training range near Georgia waters used by endangered whales.”
