Riverport development bordering Savannah National Wildlife Refuge

On a 5,000-acre tract bordering the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge in South Carolina, a developer has proposed building a new port-related facility, one of the largest logistics and industrial projects in the Southeast. SELC is weighing options for defending valuable wetlands and critical wildlife habitat threatened by this project, which could also lead to a significant increase in sprawl in the area.
