SELC named “Best Environmental Organization” by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine

The readers of Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine have voted SELC the region’s “Best Environmental Organization,” citing our work on coal ash, carbon pollution, water protection, and endangered species. Over 5,000 votes determined the winner.

For nearly three decades, SELC has been the leading advocate for protecting the South’s air, water, and natural playgrounds. This nonprofit is supported entirely through donations from private individuals, families, and foundations, and features a staff of over 60 attorneys in 9 offices across the region. . . . Through the “power of the law,” SELC is breaking down barriers and pushing toward positive progress for our environment.
