Protecting our clean water

A few weeks ago the Environmental Protection Agency announced an unprecedented, risky proposal to gut clean water protections that have been in place for generations.

While the EPA is supposed to be protecting our water, this proposal does the opposite: It would strip protections for thousands of miles of our nation’s streams and the majority of wetlands, which means more pollution in our rivers, lakes, and drinking water sources that are only as clean as the waters that feed them.

Before this can move forward, however, the EPA is required by law to accept public comments and consider all responses before finalizing its proposal. This is a critical chance to make our voices heard. The public comment period will be open for 60 days and it only takes a few minutes to weigh in. Please join us in taking action today to stop this dangerous proposal.
