Please join us as we celebrate our 2024 winners.

You’re invited to celebrate this year’s Reed Award winners with us. The ceremony is scheduled for March 22 at 5:00 p.m. as part of the Virginia Festival of the Book

This year’s event will feature reflections from this year’s winners, Emily Strasser on her book Half-life of a Secret: Reckoning with a Hidden History and David Folkenflik from NPR and Mario Ariza and Miranda Green from Floodlight on their story In the Southeast, power company money flows to news sites that attack their critics.

Additionally Jonathan Vigliotti, CBS News national correspondent and author of the upcoming book Before It’s Gone: Stories from the Front Lines of Climate Change in Small-Town America, will be our
featured speaker.

The first 300 event registrants receive a free copy of Emily Strasser’s award winning book.

The in-person event is SOLD OUT but you can still join us virtuallly. Those unable to attend in person can stream the award ceremony online through a link provided ahead of the event.

If you were able to register in advance for the in-person event it will be held at the CODE Building, located at 225 West Water Street on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, Virginia.
