Our in-person event is now SOLD OUT.

You’re invited celebrate this year’s Reed Award winners with us virtually. The ceremony is scheduled for March 24 at 5:00 p.m. as part of the Virginia Festival of the Book.  Please join us online as we hear reflections and remarks from our winners.

Corban Addison won the Reed Award in the book category for “Wastelands: The True Story of Farm Country on Trial.” Isabelle Chapman won the Reed Award in the journalism category  for “Gambling ‘America’s Amazon’” published by CNN.

Heather McTeer Toney, respected author and expert on environmental and climate justice issues, will be this year’s featured speaker, her upcoming book, “Before the Streetlights Come On: Black America’s Urgent Call for Climate Solutions is scheduled to be released on April 17 in time for Earth Day.

Virtual event registrants receive a free copy of Wastelands by Corban Addison.

The streaming event is free and open to the public.
