Bob Sherrier
Staff Attorney
Bob’s ambition to go to law school at Emory University was driven not only by his plan to pursue public interest in environmental law, but also to get results. That’s why he joined SELC and today is responsible for litigation, working in a coalition to protect Georgia’s water resources, and advocating for coastal, wetlands, and water quality issues.
His outcomes include successfully defending a community group against baseless claims of defamation after they exercised their constitutional right to protest and speak in opposition to a polluting facility in their neighborhood.
SELC addresses the most pressing environmental issues and gets significant results,” says Bob, who grew up on West Point Lake in LaGrange, GA.
Bob lived in Colorado before returning to the southeast and finding a new home base in Atlanta.
His favorite spot in the SELC footprint is “the vast, wild, blackwater Okefenokee Swamp because there’s no other place quite like it.”
SELC addresses the most pressing environmental issues and gets significant results.
