Bonnie Angermeier

Legislative Assistant/Office Administrator

B.A., University of Virginia, Dean’s List, Athletics Honor Role

 With SELC since 2019

Bonnie handles administrative responsibilities and provides legislative support for SELC’s D.C. office. This includes tracking daily news, writing and distributing briefs on congressional hearings and markups, and compiling regular email updates to keep members of Congress appraised of SELC’s work and priorities. She also covers the budgeting, scheduling, and expense reporting needs of the D.C. office, and provides research, writing and editing support.

Bonnie’s passion for environmental and climate change policy and environmental justice brought her to SELC; and she is particularly proud of SELC’s work to stop the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the Union Hill compressor station. She grew up in the Appalachian Mountains and has wonderful memories of backpacking through various parts of those mountains with her dad every year over Father’s Day weekend.

The key to SELC’s success is our people. Consider joining our team to defend this region’s air, water, and natural treasures.
