Ms. Kennedy Kennard is a former attorney who worked on international environmental matters and politico-military affairs at the US State Department prior to becoming managing counsel for Mobil Oil Corporation, where she focused on international environmental issues. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from Duke University and her law degree from Yale University. She is a former board member of the Coastal Conservation League and currently serves on the boards of Spoleto Festival USA and WINGS for kids, and is on the Executive Committee of the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston.
