Mr. Gerken is the President and Executive Director of the Southern Environmental Law Center. He began his SELC career in 2004, leading the Asheville NC office for much of that time. Mr. Gerken also acted as interim leader for the Nashville TN office, and later served as SELC’s Program Director. Mr. Gerken earned his law degree and masters in urban planning from the University of Virginia and a B.A. with honors from Davidson College.
