Jill Kysor
Senior Attorney and Leader of Solar Initiative
Jill advocates for greater reliance on clean, affordable energy resources at state utility commissions. She works to remove barriers to solar and other clean energy resources at the state and local levels, and to increase access to solar power in the entire SELC six-state region. Expanding that access in Georgia has been the highlight of her SELC career.
It’s important for me to do work that I love and that I believe in.

“I love the people I work with. It’s a great team of people that all want to be here, supporting SELC’s mission doing this work.”
Jill has lived in diverse environments across the country. She was born and raised in a small town with only three stoplights in rural western New York. After college and law school in Colorado, she volunteered as a lawyer for an environmental justice nonprofit in Oakland, California.
She and her husband are raising a young daughter in Atlanta, and love to get away to the mountains of North Georgia and Western North Carolina. “We like to hike and make s’mores over a campfire,” Jill says.
