SELC Kicks Off Living Shorelines Project

SELC held the inaugural Living Shorelines roundtable in Richmond Hills, GA, on September 27. The new project promotes the use of living shorelines as an alternative to harmful bulkheads and seawalls. We met with 50 of our partners and national and regional policymakers, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, to share our resources and to brainstorm furthering our efforts. A second roundtable will be held in spring 2013 in Mobile, AL.
