Mining on the doorstep of the iconic Okefenokee Swamp isn’t worth the risk. Mining will have devastating impacts on the ecological health of this national treasure and the health of the local economy that depends on it.
Tell decisionmakers before it’s too late to make the right choice by denying the five state permits needed for Alabama-based mining company Twin Pines to begin excavating wetlands and paving the way for years of industrial operations. The Okefenokee deserves to be protected.
