SELC and others urge McAuliffe to cancel the 29 Bypass proposal

SELC recently joined ten other organizations in urging Governor-Elect Terry McAuliffe to cancel the wasteful and destructive Charlottesville Route 29 Bypass proposal to make good on his promise to spend transportation dollars efficiently and effectively. The groups detailed many of the problems with the Bypass and explained why redirecting the funding to a set of consensus projects along the Route 29 corridor would better improve the transportation network and enhance the community, making for a much smarter investment of taxpayer money.
