Two weeks left to share your concerns about offshore drilling off the Atlantic coast

In January 2015, the federal government announced it is considering opening up the Southeast coast to offshore oil and gas drilling. Risky drilling off our Southern coasts jeopardizes the communities, jobs, and beloved beaches that are the very heart of our coastal states. The Bureau of Ocean and Energy Management (BOEM) is accepting online public comments on this proposal until March 30, 2015. Visit ProtectOurCoastNow.org for more information.

Please speak up and let them know that there is too much at risk and too little to gain. Our Southern beaches are world famous destinations and our fisheries are among the most productive in the world. Our coastal economies are the backbone of hundreds of towns and cities along the Southern coast, providing thousands of jobs, multi-billion dollar tourism industries, multi-million dollar fishing industries, and critical local tax revenues.
